How to identify an Arnoult Lequart TdB?
- The name ARNOULT is printed on the 2 de Deniers (2 of coins).

- LEQUART PARIS is printed on 38 cards (= on all cards exept the non-figurative cards of the ‘minor arcana’).
Note that the 'stamp' 'Lequart Paris' isn't always identical on the different cards.
- On the back you’ll find an unidentified brown pattern.

Arnoult Lequart tarot de Besançon

This is one of the Arnoult Lequart decks I bought: it’s a Tarot de Besançon, meaning that LA PAPESSE (the Popesse) and LE PAPE (the Pope) have been replaced with Junon and Jupiter. All the other cards are the same as the classic tarot de Marseille decks.

On two of my Arnoult Lequart decks there is a tax stamp on the two of swords, as you can see on the picture above.

My Tarot deck collection is growing ...
Two weeks ago I bought these four decks on the ACCART trade fair in Paris. From left to right: Traces from Eric Provoost, an Arnoult Lequart TdB, the Mameluk deck printed in Turnhout and a 1930 TdM by Grimaud (with authentic box!):

I'm very happy with the Mameluk deck (long black box), because it's a hard one to find.
I'm afraid I realy am a compulsive Tarot deck buyer :-)
